Redmond 5th Street Reconstruction Project Update
July 6, 2010
Just in time for the 4th of July and the celebration of the Redmond Centennial, Hooker Creek Companies completed work on the Redmond 5th Street Reconstruction Project.  After close to a year of traffic interruptions we were able to open both lanes just in time to accomodate the increased traffic through the Holiday weekend.  We at Hooker Creek would like to thank everyone who was affected by the many traffic interruptions over the past 11 months.  We would like to specifically thank the business owners along 5th Street for their patience and understanding as our crews worked in the area.

If you have any questions regarding the Redmond 5th Street Reconstruction Project, please contact Jeff Hurd at jhurd@hookercreek.net or 541-749-1614.

Facebook Data Center Project Update
June 16, 2010
It's been six months since Hooker Creek crews started working at the building site for the new Facebook Data Center in Prineville and according to Project Manager Kris Karpstein, the Hooker Creek portion of the project will soon be coming to an end.

Since our last project update, our crews have finished digging the on site and off site power trenches.  Karpstein states that there is a small amount of trenching for power to future sites that we are still working on and this should be finished over the next couple of weeks.  In addition to the power trenches our crews have also been working on the off site communications trenches.  These run from the actual building site to the access road.  Karpstein states "we are just tying everything together now".

One area that our team has really been focusing on over the past couple of weeks is the prep work for the large on site parking lot.  Karpstein says that we will be sub grading the parking lot and placing gravel during the week of June 21 - 24.

According to Karpstein, the number of men working at the Facebook site has been cut back dramatically as we wind down our portion of the project and begin to work clean-up and make ourselves available as support for other sub-contractors.

There will be one area of "unfinished business" through the summer and fall months as we will hold off on paving the parking lot and putting the top lift of asphalt on the access road and turn lane from Tom McCall Road until late October or early November.

If you have any questions regarding Hooker Creeks' work on the Facebook Data Center, please contact Hooker Creek Project Manager Kris Karpstein at 541-749-1013 or kkarpstein@hookercreek.net
