Franklin Crossing
PROJECT
NAME:
Franklin Crossing
ARCHITECT: Steele
Associates
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: Kirby Nagelhout
COMPLETION:
July 2006
DESCRIPTION: Franklin Crossing was the number one
commercial project in Central Oregon in 2005, valued at $13.2
million, and Hooker Creek manufactured and delivered over 800
truckloads of concrete to this project? We are very
excited to be a part of this much anticipated addition to
downtown Bend.
Franklin Crossing has 131,600 square feet of retail,
dining, and living space in five levels. The penthouse
level features eight luxury condominums, which were
built using Hooker Creek's ICF
technology. Insulating Concrete Forms were used
for the sound deadening quality and energy saving
benefits. Franklin Crossing is the first structure
in downtown Bend to feature an underground parking lot that
accommodates 50 vehicles. The 38,000 square feet of
retail space included designer stores, boutiques, galleries and
restaurants. Franklin Crossing is truly the first of its
kind in Bend, because of its unique design and mixed-use
aspects. Franklin Crossing was one of three finalists in
the State of Oregon for an Excellence in Concrete Award in
2007.
