Local Custom Home Wins Top Honors

For the second year in a row a Central Oregon custom home has taken home the top honors in the highly competitive Residential ICF division at the annual Excellence in Concrete Awards.

With stunning views of the Crooked River, Smith Rock and the Cascades, the Burgess Residence located in the presigious Canyon's Ranch is a masterpiece worthy of the recognition it has received.

The 5,000 square foot Tuscan home has many unique features including a great room that features a curved ceiling that includes a computer controlled fiber optic light star chart with comets, shooting stars and other very real looking elements of the solar system.

Other interior highlights include radiant floor heat and a beautiful wood and iron staircase that leads to the second floor.  Throughout the house, including the framing of the master bath, one will find local natural stone.

The outside of the home has just as many beautiful features as the inside does including an Infinity Edge Reflecting pool that was positioned so that when viewed from certain angles, the reflection of Monkeyface can be seen in the pool.  There are beautiful natural stone patios, copper clad windows and exterior stone work that, like the interior, features local materials along with other defining features.

The Burgess home was the first in Canyon's Ranch to use Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF) in the design and construction of the home.

Respect for the beauty of Canyon's Ranch was instrumental in all decisions, regarding home design, building placement and exterior landscape.

Congratulations to everyone who played a role in the design and construction of this beautiful home.
